Day 1. Talkeetna Mountain UTV
and Gold Panning Tour

Enjoy off-roading in the Mountains! Drive through creeks and mud before climbing high into the mountains, where you'll take in panoramic views. During the tour, we’ll stop for lunch, soak in the breathtaking scenery, and try our hand at gold panning! Learn about the gold mining history of Hatcher Pass and search for gold, turquoise, quartz, and other fascinating minerals. During blueberry season (August and September), we’ll also stop to pick wild blueberries for you to snack on!

Day 2. Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center & Portage Glacier

Take a scenic drive through Hatcher, stopping at the famous Beluga Point for photos. Then, we’ll tour the Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center, where you’ll see packs of wild wolves, grizzly bears, black bears, moose, reindeer, and more! After lunch, we’ll take a short drive to view Portage Glacier. An experienced guide will lead you on a scenic hike to Byron Glacier, where you’ll have a close-up view of the glacier with rugged mountains in all directions. This is a scenic family friendly hike, about 2 miles long.

Day 3. Off-Road to Knik Glacier

Experience an off-road adventure across glacier rivers and black silt “beaches” on the way to Knik Glacier. You'll enjoy close-up views of the Knik Glacier, which stretches over 25 miles long and 5 miles wide—making it one of the largest glaciers in Southcentral Alaska!

Day 4. Freshwater Fishing

Willow Creek is famous for salmon fishing! Our expert guide will take you to a prime local spot where you can fish for salmon, trout, and pike. We’ll also process, pack, and freeze your catch so you can take it home with you.

Day 5. Denali View Tundra Hiking

We’ll use a UTV to bring you to the top of the mountain, where you’ll begin your hike with stunning views of Denali in the background. Enjoy exclusive access to some of Alaska’s most beautiful mountain ridges—hike along the ridge, take in the scenery, and keep an eye out for wildlife!

Day 1. Arrival

Day

During transportation, stops on the way are welcome to bring special needs/refreshments (alcohol, entertainment, etc.)

Arrival and a warm welcome to the castle. Guests can relax, enjoy the amenities, and explore the property.

Night

Welcome Dinner: Savor hearty cuisine and meet fellow adventurers.

Northern Light Hunting 101: Learn more about the science behind northern light, how to read northern light forecasts, and how to take photos of the northern light.

Day 2. Snow UTV tour with Denali View

Ride in our heated and enclosed snow UTV as we journey through the forest and climb to the top of the Talkeetna Mountains. On a clear day, enjoy breathtaking panoramic views with a chance to see Denali, the tallest peak in North America! From an elevation of over 4,000 feet, you'll have the best vantage point to see the majestic Denali, nestled alongside Mt. Foraker and Mt. Hunter. We’ll also bring snowshoes along—our expert guides will be happy to lead you on a snowshoe hike along the mountain ridges.

Day 3. Mountain Snowmobile Tour

Learn how to snowmobile in Alaska! Our guide will teach you how to operate our brand-new 2026 Polaris snowmobiles. We’ll begin with some practice laps around our property to ensure everyone is confident and comfortable before heading into the mountains. Along the winter trail, you’ll ride to the top of the Talkeetna Mountains, where you may catch a distant view of the Knik Glacier on a clear day. For experienced riders, our guide will be happy to take you off-trail for some advanced powder sledding!

Day 4. Glacier Hike

Join us for a guided hike on the stunning Matanuska Glacier. Learn about the fascinating science behind glacier formation as you walk across the ice, slide through glacier tunnels, and explore breathtaking glacier caves—getting an up-close view of this incredible natural wonder.

Day 5. Ice Fishing

Embark on a once-in-a-lifetime ice fishing adventure in Alaska. Combine the thrill of catching fish with the serene beauty of snow-covered landscapes. Explore the remote Alaskan backcountry by snow UTV and immerse yourself in its untouched wilderness. We’ll also process, pack, and freeze your catch so you can take it home with you.

Day 6. Departure

Day

Enjoy a hearty breakfast before preparing for departure.

Night

Scheduled transportation to Anchorage. Optional stops for souvenir shopping to pick up mementos of your Alaskan adventure.

Arrive at Anchorage airport in time for your flight, departing with unforgettable memories of your journey.
