About Us

What brought us to Alaska? Well, my husband bought a 4x4 van from Craigslist a few years ago, and long story short, we ended up buying the castle from the van seller! The castle was previously owned by a local charity whose cause we are passionate about, and we had been donating to it for years. Now, we are the proud keepers of the castle. Since acquiring the property, we've undertaken a series of extensive upgrades, and we are thrilled to share it with you!

I used to work in asset management, while Dan owned a few small businesses and has extensive experience in developing real estate and commercial rental properties. During the pandemic, we decided it was time for a change. We chose to pursue our love for the outdoors, moved further west, deeper and higher into the Colorado mountains. We started with purchasing a small motel three years ago, made numerous improvements, and it's now one of the highest-rated properties in the area. We give a percentage of our business as a bonus to all of our staff, from housekeepers to communication staff to managers. This is why everyone genuinely cares about the business, and you'll experience a level of service you've never experienced before.

During our free time, we love riding dirt bikes, adventure bikes, snowbikes...you get the idea. We also enjoy spending time with our dog, Wasilla. We named her Wasilla when we were in Colorado four years ago, and now we're here in Alaska just outside of Wasilla. We feel incredibly fortunate to live in such a gorgeous place, and we want to share that experience with you!
